Onerepublic continues to surprise me...

I know a band is pretty damn amazing when I can precisely remember when and where I first heard one of their songs. Onerepublic was a random band that I found on MySpace about three years ago. At that time their song “Apologize” was a soft melody that showed off lead singer Ryan Tedder’s true vocals.
To me the song was perfect to drift off to sleep to, that was until Timbaland caught wind of it and put his unnecessary spin on it. After that I couldn’t listen to it anymore.
But, when their album, Dreaming out loud came out I instantly fell in love again. Granted that Timbaland was the executive producer I put that hatred aside for the sake of the music.
The album seemed like a tell all story of a love stricken, deep thinking guy. The second single “Stop and Stare” became a hit on the charts. With that achievement the band skyrocketed to the top of the charts and began headlining their own tours.
Four singles in all came off that album. Currently they are in the studio working on their sophomore album titled, “Today”. I just hope Timbaland doesn’t feel the need to remix anything.
