This season is taking it's toll on me...
Since school has ended I've been catching up on some things that I've forgotten. And I've come to the realization that I've been neglecting this blog when it comes to actual content to read. Granted, it's summertime and being a typical college student on a temporary resting period until Aug. 17. I've been consumed into other things, but hopefully I can get back into the mood of writing about music rather than the random thoughts that pop in my head. So, from one music lover to another be prepared to have your mind blown pretty soon. It doesn't hurt that summertime is also concert time and I'm anxiously waiting for July 23 so I can witness Paramore and some other amazing bands for the second time with an awesome friend.

Song of the day (June 13)
So thanks to days of my body wanting to sleep at odd hours, I've been indulging myself in more music. So the song of the day is "Blister in the Sun" by the Violent Femmes.

Song of the day (June 8)
If I could define my adolescent years with one band, it would have to be Incubus. Brandon Boyd is amazing. I've been a fan since S.C.I.E.N.C.E and not a single album has been able to disappoint me. So the song of the day is " Black Heart Inertia"

Song of the day (June 6)
Before Drake became the unstoppable force he is today, he played a paralyzed high school student in a Canadian based show called Degrassi. Yes, Drake you will always be Jimmy Brooks to me. Deal with it. So today's song of the day is "Find your love". Enjoy.

Song of the day (June 4)
I had no clue My Morning Jacket was behind this song because it sounds like Prince to me. I need to add this song to my background music playlist. Lol.
"Highly Suspicious" by My Morning Jacket.

As I was jamming around to music this morning I realized that I never posted 10 mind blowing songs that should be on that music contraption that majority of Americans own. So, to make up for that lapse of time here's 10 songs that should hold you over until next week.

Oh Andy Samberg you had me at "Jizz in my pants"
If I was stuck in a life or death situation the one guy I would want around me for that last moment of comic relief is Andy Samberg. Even if I was married...Samberg will be it. Most guys understand my lust for Andy. I think it's his twisted humor and just pure nerd hotness. It also doesn't help that he (along with The Lonely Island crew) continues to make hilarious music videos so I decided to share my top three favorites.
1.) "Boombox"
2.) "I'm on a boat"
*I'd be an idiot not to chose this song.
3.) This video is more of a skit that Samberg and Paul Rudd (who I also find ridiculously hot) did on SNL. It doesn't hurt that there's some nakedness. :)

Song of the day (June 2)
I'm in a mellow music mood so the song of the day is one of my all time favorites, "Babe I'm gonna leave you" by Led Zeppelin

Better than the Originals
I've heard a few decent cover songs lately. There are only a handful of artist that can truly bring that magic back to a song, that the original artist were able to deliver. It's rare for me to love cover songs...but these have been in my head lately.
1.) FeFe Dobson's cover of "Welcome to the Jungle"
2.) Silverstein's cover of "Apologize"
3.)Say Anything's cover to "Baby I got your money"
4.)Pixie Lott's cover of "Use Somebody
*Note: Her cover is probably the best one hands down that I've heard. Other's basically ruined the song...I love this song to hear it ruined.
5.) Foo Fighter's cover of "Darling Nikki"
